Information on research funding at the University of Turku
At present, the research funding database TURA, founded and maintained by the Research Services Unit of the University of Turku, contains basic information on approximately 700 sources of research funding: domestic foundations and funds, the Academy of Finland, TEKES (the National Technology Agency) as well as Nordic, European and other international, private and public sources.
The quarterly Apurahatiedote (only available in Finnish), a booklet based on this database, is sent to the faculties, departments and the department research contact persons. A list of research contact persons at the Faculty of Medicine is available on the website of the Research Services Unit (in Finnish) http://www.utu.fi/hallinto/tutkimuspalvelut/contpers.htm. The TURA database and the announcements concerning research funding are available on the Turku University website at (in Finnish) http://www.utu.fi/hallinto/tutkimuspalvelut/turatiedotus.htm. The research information services are meant for internal use within the University of Turku and for organisation that have contracts with the Unversity.
